E-Waste Collection Project for Akasya Visitors

In line with our goal of environmental sustainability and to raise awareness among mall visitors, we are launching a new e-waste collection project. By taking this eco-friendly step, we ensure the proper recycling of electronic waste.

What is Electronic Waste?

Electronic waste (e-waste) consists of electronic devices that have reached the end of their useful life or are broken. If not properly recycled, these wastes can harm the environment and human health. Due to the toxic substances they contain, disposing of e-waste in regular landfills or incinerating it can pollute the soil, water, and air. Therefore, the proper collection and recycling of e-waste is of great importance.

Objectives of Our E-Waste Collection Project:

How to Participate?

Participating in our project is very simple:

1. Bring your unused or broken electronic devices (phones, tablets, laptops, small household appliances, etc.) to the e-waste collection point at Akasya Shopping Mall.
2. Scan the QR code on the box with your phone.
3. Create an account.
4. Take a photo of your e-waste.
5. Get your free coffee from Cinnabon.

Recycling of Electronic Waste

Electronic waste can be reclaimed through recycling processes. In this process, valuable metals and other materials inside the devices are recycled and used in the production of new products. This reduces the consumption of natural resources and prevents environmental pollution. Recycling electronic waste also saves energy and reduces the carbon footprint.
